Faye has always loved dogs, but she wasn't allowed to have a dog growing up. So the first thing she did when she got out on her own was get a puppy. But Faye didn't have a clue what to do. She really didn't know how to train her new puppy or how to best care for him. Fortunately for her new puppy and her, she surrounded herself with other good dog owners and learned tons.
But one day years later, with her fifth Labrador Retriever Marley, she walked around the corner from the kitchen to the living room, where she caught him peeing on her brand-new leather chair! At that time, Marley was one year old, so she thought he was fully potty trained. She immediately went into action, taking him to the vet the next day and enrolling them in obedience classes one week later. Well, guess who got 'Most Improved Dog Owner & Trainer' at the end of the obedience course? Faye! Little did she know, there were still so many missing pieces of the puzzle to get her dog potty trained. She learned potty training was much more than preventing her dog from peeing and pooping in the house. She improved her understanding of her dog's behavior and needs and enhanced her bond with her dog.
With her passion for dogs and wanting to spread even more love to them, Faye began volunteering at her local animal shelter. There she sadly learned that a primary reason dogs are surrendered to animal shelters is the owner's frustration with being unable to get their dog fully potty trained - peeing and pooping outdoors sometimes, but not consistently every time. Seeing people get so frustrated, unnecessarily giving up on their dogs, set off a mission in Faye's soul to help dogs have better owners, beginning with potty training.
Faye's purpose is to use her God-given talents to help, teach, and serve living beings with empathy and grace so they don't have to feel frustrated, inadequate, or like they have to figure it all out on their own. This means she is here for your dog and you!
Faye also understands that potty training is not just for puppies. Any time a new dog, no matter what age, moves into your home, you likely need to revisit potty training with your dog. Whether you have a dog you've adopted or rescued, a dog you are fostering, a dog who has gone from farm to suburbs, a brand new puppy, or a dog that has started unpredictable potty habits even though you thought they were fully potty trained, you are in the right place with the right mentor!
